EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL AT GOOD SHEPHERD

EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION

Come all and walk in this Eucharistic Procession with our church community and be part of this encounter with Jesus.

We will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi on June 11th with a Eucharistic Procession immediately following the Sunday 5 pm Mass. We will follow the example of Saint Pope John Paul II, who made a procession every year on Corpus Christi from St. Peter's Square through the streets of Rome.  “The Procession with the Blessed Sacrament… reminds us that we are called to go out  and bring Jesus to others. To go out with enthusiasm, bringing Christ to those we meet in our daily lives” (Pope Francis, Homily on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, 6 June 2021). This is an opportunity for the parish community to publicly proclaim its belief in Jesus’ True Presence in the Eucharist and to encounter the Risen Lord present in the Eucharistic Host.  Participants proclaim their faith but also grow in their faith. This is an invitation to Jesus himself to be a part of our daily lives, to be immersed in the world in which we live.  Everyone is encouraged to attend this special celebration and solemnly process with us around our campus.  The event will end with Benediction inside the church.

Good Shepherd will kick off the Eucharistic Revival for 2023 with a 12 hour Adoration on Friday, June 2nd, that will begin at 10AM after morning Mass and conclude at 10PM.

All are welcome to come and adore him in Holy Adoration during these 12 hours.

All ministries are invited to devote time to the Lord in Adoration.

Say YES to this invitation from our Eucharistic Lord!

"For in the warmth of His presence, our lives change. Without Him, everything would truly be grey. Adoring the Body and Blood of Christ, let us ask Him with our heart: Lord, give me the daily bread to go forward, Lord, satisfy me with your presence!"

-Pope Francis
