Lazarus Mass

November 1

Massofremembrance T 20i1 4c 1

The month of November is the time of year to offer special prayers and Masses for our deceased loved ones.

Saturday, November 1 at 5:00 pm

At this Mass, our Lazarus and Hearts of Compassion ministries will share special remembrances of all parishioners who have died since November of 2024 and their names will be included on a banner that will be displayed in the church narthex.  Please call the office by 10/23/25 to ensure your loved one’s name is included on the banner.

Candles that you can bring to the Mass and place on the tables on the altar will be available in the parish office beginning October 14 . The candles will be blessed at Mass and will be yours to keep afterwards. This Mass will also be livestreamed.

Jacob’s Ladder

The Ladder of Jacob (Genesis 28:10-15) is a ziggurat, a spiral stairway; a symbol of eternity. Unlike circles, spirals don’t endlessly return to a point where they started.  As reflected in the Book of Genesis, the Ladder of Jacob is a connection between life on earth and an eternal peace in the Kingdom of God. The month of November is a time to remember those who have ascended Jacob’s Ladder, those who have become members of the Communion of Saints. There will be a memorial for the dead available in the narthex for photographs of deceased members of our parish family.  Due to limited space, photographs should be no larger than 5” X 7”.  Please put your name on the back of the photo/frame and do not leave original photos.
