Weekly Reflection - Christmas

"I proclaim to you good news of great joy: today a Savior is born for us, Christ the Lord." (Lk 2:10)

Christ is born for us!  We are filled with joy.  Light has broken through the darkness and time has met eternity.  If one thing abounds today it is uncertainty.  The world and all that is in it constantly changes.  Without God, humankind has an unquenchable thirst for meaning.  Christ is the answer.  The only thing that doesn't change is God and his infinite love for us

We have been created to love and be loved.  When I contemplate the Christ child born for me, I am inspired with confidence to draw near to him.  No one is afraid of a child.  He desires our heart more than anything only so that he can fill it with all it truly longs for.

Questions for Reflection:

  • Do I have a personal relationship with Christ?
  • Do I draw near to him daily in faith by prayer and meditating on his Word?
  • Am I aware that to find the Christ child requires diligence and effort on my part?
