"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you." (2Cor. 13:14)
This Sunday is the Solemnity of The Holy Trinity. God's love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. The essence of God is love. It is not static or conditional but rather generous and sacrificial.
The love between the Father and the Son is another divine person, the Holy Spirit. The Father gave us what His most beloved, the Son poured out every drop of His blood, the Holy Spirit showered the Church with countless gifts. We share in this divine love because of our Baptism. Only by loving without limits, does my love resemble God's.
Questions for Reflection:
- Have I experienced God's love in my life?
- Do I count the cost or measure my gift back to Him?
- Can I say that my love for my neighbor is natural or divine?
