Weekly Reflection - 6th Sunday of Easter

"I have called you friends because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father." Jn.15:15

Something remarkable has happened, Jesus calls me his friend.  He is like us in all things but sin and has a human heart that beats with love for me  Nothing in my life is indifferent to him. The smallest acts I do in order to please him do in fact please him.  Jesus revealed to St. Margaret Mary Alocoque the following words, "Behold this heart which loves so much and is so little loved."  I am called to love Jesus not just for myself but for those who do not love him in return or have abandoned him.

Reflection

  • Can I say that I am a friend of Jesus by my life?
  • Is there anything in my life that displeases my friend?
  • Is there anyone or anything I love more than Jesus?
