Synod - Listening Sessions

January 31, 2022

Let your voice be heard!

Last May Pope Francis announced that the Church would begin a synodal process that includes "listening to all of the baptized" in every local diocese before the bishops gather in 2023.  This means:

  • Every parish in the Sacramento Diocese will be submitting a report to the Diocese and the Diocese will consolidate the information into one report for the USCCB (U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops).
  • All regions or nations will send representatives to convene Synod of Bishops at the Vatican in Rome.

The USCCB is interested in your opinion on various aspects of our Catholic faith.  Good Shepherd will be holding a listening session on January 31, 2022, from 6:30-8:30 pm in the parish hall. A light dinner will be provided.

This is an opportunity for you to share your experiences and hopes for the church.  The session is open to everyone- practicing Catholics, lapsed Catholics, or even members of other denominations. Please consider attending.  Your opinion MATTERS!

RSVP for the Listening Session

Prior to attending the listening session, you are asked to read and contemplate this prayer card.
