  • Express yourself creatively! Paint and create your own original art work of the Sacred Heart of Jesus! This special opportunity for faith formation allows you to immerse yourself in the love of Jesus! As you paint and learn about the Sacred Heart of Jesus you will be guided along to create a unique painting that will be very personal – a reflection of your deepening personal relationship with Jesus.

  • As desired, bring your painting to the Solemnity Mass on Friday, June 12 for blessing. As a holy object, it will be suitable for enthronement in your home as a perpetual reminder of Jesus’ love.

  • The evening is FREE, but participants must sign up in advance so organizers can plan adequately. Basic paint, brushes and a canvas will be provided, however, if you prefer to bring and use your own brushes, a table top easel or other preferences, please do. ALL participants are asked to bring a roll of paper towels and paint rags for your use. These will not be provided. (Children above age 11 only please)

Friday, June 12, 2026

Attend this meaningful Solemnity Mass at 8:30 a.m. Parishioners may choose to personally consecrate themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and conclude with the communal praying of the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Receive additional information about the devotional practices inspired by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque’s apparition of Jesus 350 years ago on June 16, 1675.

Note: In solidarity with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and parishes around the country, parishioners may also join in a prayer of consecration of the US to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, commemorating the nation's 250th anniversary.

“When a nation turns to the heart of Christ, everything changes.”

Select and bring a meaningful image or icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for a special blessing at the June 12 morning Mass. Then, take your image home and enthrone* it so it may serve as a beautiful reminder of Jesus’ love in your home.

  • You may already have an image or opt to purchase one specifically for this occasion. Consult numerous online resources for appropriate Catholic art.

  • Or, participate in our Sacred Heart of Jesus paint night (see above), guided by parishioner/artist Valerie Ramos. Bring your painted image of the Sacred Heart for blessing on June 12.

* Prayers for Home Enthronement of the Sacred Heart image will be distributed at the June 12 Mass.

Develop your personal love for Jesus, encounter His Sacred Heart and carry forward the mission of sharing His love in fellowship with the larger community and the whole Church.
