3 WAYS TO PERSONALIZE YOUR DEVOTION . . . CHOOSE ONE OR ALL!

1.   Attend this meaningful Solemnity Mass and conclude by praying with the community the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Receive additional information about the devotional practices inspired by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque’s apparition of Jesus 350 years ago on June 16, 1675.

 

2.   Select and bring a meaningful image or icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for a special blessing at the June 27 morning Mass. Then, take your image home and enthrone it.  Let it serve as a beautiful reminder in your home of Jesus’ love.  ENTHRONEMENT CEREMONY

• You may already have an image or opt to purchase one specifically for this occasion. Consult numerous online resources for appropriate Catholic art.

 

3.  Formally prepare to consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Sign up to attend a preparation retreat offered by Catholic Advance, the Sisters of Pro Ecclesia Sancta and learn about what this commitment entails.  They will offer this retreat on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Holy Family Parish in Citrus Heights. • Retreat participants will receive the Sisters’ catechetical formation on the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the devotion of St. Margaret Mary. The fee includes a binder of materials, an image of the Sacred Heart appropriate for framing and enthronement, and lunch.

• Father Michael will consecrate those who have prepared with this retreat during the Mass at Good Shepherd on June 27.
