Weekly Reflection - 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time (2025)

In the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector (Luke 18:9-14), Jesus teaches that humility is key to our relationship with God. The Pharisee boasts about his good deeds, while the tax collector humbly seeks God's mercy, recognizing his sinfulness. This parable reminds us that our worthiness before God isn't measured by achievements, but by our willingness to acknowledge our limitations and trust in His love (Psalm 34:18). Humility allows us to see and experience God's love, and to love others by appreciating their worth. Let's strive to be humble, positive, and prayerful, recognizing that negativity towards others often reflects our own failures.
