Weekly Reflection - 4th Sunday of Lent (2026)
" If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you are saying, 'We see', so your sin remains." (Jn. 9:41)
This is the Fourth Sunday of Lent. Christ is the light of the world. We live in a world of darkness. It can get extremely disheartening at times waking up every morning just to see new events that disturb our peace. The truth of the Gospel sets us free and enables us to have the light to keep orienting our lives in the midst of the storm.
It's not just about me. As many hardships as I must face, at least I have the sense of eternity. My suffering is redemptive united to Christ. Even if I had to pass through fire, eventually it will pass when I reach my eternal homeland. Let us not be robbed of our hope when in contact with a secular mindset that lacks transcendence.
Questions for Reflection:
- Do I learn from Christ how to navigate the storms in my life?
- Have I learned to offer up those moments for the salvation of those around me?
- Am I able to give thanks for all his benefits and accept evil with patience in my life?
